Traveling to Turkey for Nipple Correction: A Day-by-Day Patient Guide

nipple correction

A well-planned trip for nipple correction begins before the flight and continues after returning home. The sample itinerary below shows how assessment, surgery and early review might fit together. It is not a fixed Cayra package, a required length of stay or permission to fly on a particular day.

Before booking: obtain a complete plan

Confirm the surgeon, treatment facility, proposed technique, anaesthesia and expected follow-up. Ask whether the quote is for one nipple or both. Discuss breastfeeding preferences and any new changes in the breast before arranging cosmetic treatment.

New nipple inversion, especially with a lump, discharge or skin change, needs medical assessment first. It should not be managed as a routine travel-booking question. Our grades, causes and treatment guide explains why the history matters.

Appointments may be rearranged following examination, tests or changes in the clinical schedule. Ask how daily updates will be communicated and keep enough flexibility for an extended stay if necessary.

Day 1: use the consultation to make the final decision

The in-person assessment may change the provisional plan. Ask the surgeon to explain the technique and its limitations, including recurrence, scarring, altered sensation and possible effects on breastfeeding. Allow time to understand the answers before consenting.

Bring your medicines in their labelled packaging, relevant records and any requested test results. Confirm where the procedure will take place and how you will get there. The hotel and the treatment facility may be at different addresses.

Procedure day: follow your anaesthesia instructions

Use the fasting and medication instructions provided specifically for you. If they are missing or contradictory, contact the team before proceeding. Arrange an appropriate escort and transport rather than assuming you can navigate the trip back independently.

Read local anaesthesia versus sedation to understand what to ask. The comfort guide covers how to communicate discomfort during an awake procedure.

Early recovery: make the stay practical

Keep dressings protected and follow the surgeon's advice on washing, clothing and activity. A recovery visit is not a sightseeing commitment: avoid planning activities that conflict with your instructions or make review difficult. Ask before swimming, using a spa or carrying heavy luggage.

Know the difference between routine messaging and urgent care. Increasing pain, redness, discharge, fever or a concerning colour change warrants prompt assessment. Severe symptoms, significant bleeding, chest pain or breathlessness require urgent medical help locally.

Before departure: collect the essentials

Request a treatment summary, prescription information, wound-care instructions and the date of the next review. Ask whether any stitches or devices need removal and who will do it. Confirm the clinician's advice about flying and any documents required by the airline.

Travel insurance should be checked for the actual planned procedure and possible complications; standard holiday cover may not be enough. Clarify the clinic's financial policy for an extra night, a return visit or revision. These are separate questions from whether an airport transfer is included.

After returning home

Attend the arranged follow-up and seek local care promptly when needed. An online photograph cannot always determine the cause of pain or a wound problem. Contact Cayra before booking to arrange a journey that follows the clinical plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a five-day package?

No. The days illustrate a possible sequence. Your duration and appointments must be confirmed individually.

Can I travel alone?

Discuss this before booking. Anaesthesia and discharge arrangements may require a responsible adult, and transport is not necessarily equivalent to an escort.

Can I fly if I feel well?

Feeling well is only one consideration. Obtain individual clinical advice and meet any airline requirements.
